Our Adoption Process

Adoption is a long process with many steps along the way. Here are a few of highlights.

Oct 2009 - We applied to an Ethiopian adoption through All God's Children International (AGCI)

May 5, 2010 - We contracted with AGCI

June 1, 2010 - We started our home study

June 15, 2010 - We finished our adoption education

July 1, 2010 - We received our FBI clearance
August 12, 2010 - We received our notarized home study
September 24, 2010 - Dossier finished and moved to wait list.

July 2, 2012 - Accepted a referral of a 2.5 month old boy.

July 10, 2012 - Completed referral paperwork

July 13, 2012 - Received our Court date

July 29, 2012 - Landed in Ethiopia for our first trip

August 1, 2012 - Received court approval in Ethiopia. We have a son!

September 12, 2012 - We picked up our son from Hannah's Hope.

September 13, 2012 - We had our US Embassy Appointment in Ethiopia.

September 15, 2012 - First night as a family in Ruston, LA.
